Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists have circulated a video clip of Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid’s speech on social media, highlighting his “slip of the tongue”.
And the Iraqi president says in the video in circulation, the word “showdown” instead of “warming” in the sentence: “Iraq was one of the countries most affected by global warming”.
Interestingly, the Iraqi parliament elected Abdul Latif Rashid as president last month after gaining a majority in the second round of voting, and after the competition between him and former president Barham Salih had withdrawn, the official Iraqi News Agency.
