The race for the Senate continues to be contested
In the United States – contested the midterm elections of Congress and government in many places. At stake is the balance of power in Washington and the remaining two years of President Joe Biden’s term.
“It is clear that we will take back the House. When you wake up tomorrow, we will have a majority. And Nancy Pelosi will be in the opposition,” said the leader of the Republicans in Congress, Kevin McCarthy.

However, the Republican majority in the House will not be as large as expected. And in the Senate they risk remaining in opposition.
In Pennsylvania, Democrat John Fetterman won over TV’s Dr. Oz, a victory announced much earlier than expected.
Donald Trump also appeared with a speech, even though he is not running for anything in this election. He bragged that the candidates he claimed had won. But in many places they are losing, from Pennsylvania to Arizona.
And more bad news for Trump: Ron DeSantis’ landslide victory in Florida for the governor. He appears to be Trump’s most serious challenger for the 2024 presidential nomination.
“We didn’t just win the elections, we redesigned the political map,” said Desantis.
The final map of the election results will become clear after days of scrutiny, recounting in some polling stations and possible legal challenges.
