The couple finally got married on October 25, 1991, by which time Gauri was 21, while Shah Rukh Khan was 26.
In another interview, Shah Rukh Khan revealed why he invited Gauri to move to Mumbai, namely after his mother’s death.
He felt it was one of the most difficult times of his life. He is also very grateful to his partner who accompanied and helped him through these difficult times.
That gratitude makes the actor really care about his wife’s relationship and feelings as well. He even mentioned in his house that his wife was in charge of him.
“In my house, most of the things that are in there were obviously bought by the designer of the house, my wife Gauri. Nobody should mess with the house designs because she is an amazing designer. But there are some things I can pick up and put on. at home, because maybe I know more about technology, “said Shah Rukh Khan.
Furthermore, Shah Rukh Khan also stated that Gauri is an excellent mother figure for their children. He never thought that.
“But I was surprised that she was an amazing mother. She is the kind of mother my children need if they reflect on who they are as a father,” said Shah Rukh Khan.
