Rotterdam Customs Finds Cocaine Cargo Worth Over € 210 Million | inland

Customs seized 2,814 kilos of cocaine in the port of Rotterdam. The drug was found in a container from Ecuador. The cargo has a road value of over 210 million euros, the prosecutor said Tuesday.

The drug was hidden in a large shipment of frozen squid. The frozen fish was destined for a company in North Holland.

The discovery was announced on Tuesday, but the drugs were already found last weekend. The narcotics have since been destroyed, the prosecutor reports.

Customs, police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office are working together to investigate the matter further.
