Lebanese actor Joe Sader is preparing to participate in several art works in the coming period, including a series with producer Marwan Haddad and another that has not been revealed until all the details are clear. Sader, who has established himself in Lebanese drama as a first-class star through a large number of plays, the latest being producer Elie Maalouf’s “Asmaa from the Past” series, has entered the field of acting through modeling. and gradually entered the profession, but complained about the roles of love and love pouring out on him, although he tried to diversify by embodying the personality of the young man who falls in love, and in return he relies heavily on his next job because his role in it will be completely different from the roles that the audience watched him. We ask him:
* Did you come to acting through the modeling profession, did your appearance help you enter the field?
– I do not deny that my appearance helped me at the beginning, but if I had not worked a lot on myself and had not known how to choose my roles and the works in which I participated, I would not have completed in the field of acting; Rather I was satisfied with one job and two, then I stopped and moved away .. I have developed well and I have to continue doing it.
* How do you comment on those who believe that the graduate path is being undertaken?
– I don’t know what to comment, but what do we take from the graduates’ path? Those who study at university study acting, and I have also studied and gained my experience as an actor through work until I reach what I am today .. Nobody takes anything away from the path of the other, because life is an opportunity and we must know how to support us ourselves and our talent to be able to continue and achieve what we want .. Not every engineer who has studied engineering is an expert engineer and the same goes for all areas of life, and for me life and experience are greater than all certificates, schools and universities .. There is no doubt that the studio helps and gives experience to the artist, and I have not made him transgress the profession, on the contrary, I graduated in the profession and I have done something more than a silent, talking and quirky role, and gradually progressed to league roles. Rather, I gradually progressed and started from scratch.
* Who discovered you artistically?
– I started with Maha El-Khoury and Essam El-Khoury through the theater, and then I participated in small roles until I entered the theater through my participation in the series “Eshk El-Nisa ‘” with the director Philip Asmar, to then move from roles to what they are today.
* Do you think director Philip Asmar could have supported you more and given you a well-deserved role in the joint drama?
– There is no doubt that he can do it. I played the roles I should have played in the Lebanese drama, or I hope to participate in them.
* In your opinion, why shouldn’t he do it?
– I don’t know .. this question should be addressed to him, but I’m not the type to knock on doors, not arrogance but shyness. I prefer to wait for the right opportunity to come and then hold it tight .. everything has its time.
Diversity of roles
* To what extent are you trying to diversify your roles and what role are you waiting for in the next stage?
– In the last period, the roles of love and love have overwhelmed me, in the sense that there is a certain character who has become attached to me, but I am trying to diversify this character through the roles I play from a series to the other .. Recently I was offered a role away from this character, and we are negotiating about it, I also finished shooting the series “Asmaa Min Al Madi”.
* Is the new work also with director and producer Elie Habib?
– No, but the “Asmaa Min Al Madi” series, which we finished shooting, is his production.
* Is it produced by Marwan Haddad, since the number of Lebanese producers is very limited?
– No, but there is another working project with producer Marwan Haddad. As for the work I mentioned, I won’t mention any details about it because the production house hasn’t announced it.
