The Special Committee on Budget and Settlements of the National Assembly will hold a comprehensive policy inquiry for the second day of the 8th in connection with next year’s budget review.
Prime Minister Han Duk-soo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Chu Kyeong-ho, Foreign Minister Park Jin, Unification Minister Kwon Young-se and Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon will participate in the global political inquiry.
In the presence of the Minister of the Interior and Security Lee Sang-min, in addition to next year’s budget, it is expected that the questions of the legislators of the opposition and opposition parties will continue to follow.
The previous day’s global political inquiry also focused on questions from the opposition party, including Prime Minister Han, about the adequacy of the response to the Itaewon disaster.
After completing the global policy survey on the same day, the preliminary committee will review the economics ministries on the 10th and 11th and will review the non-economic ministries on the 14th and 15th respectively.
From the 17th, the Subcommittee on Budget Adjustment (Subcommittee on Budget), which reviews next year’s budget reduction / increase, will begin its full-fledged activities.
Following this program, next year’s budget will be reviewed and decided at a general meeting on the 30th of this month.
The legal deadline for the deliberation of the New Year’s budget bill by the plenary session of the National Assembly is December 2 of each year.
