Kevin Durant and Paul George were named NBA Players of the Week

Chicago (United States), 7 Nov. Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets and Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers were named NBA Players of the Week on Monday.

Durant excelled, averaging 30.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game in the four games played by the Nets, contributing to three wins for one loss.

Amid the firestorm of Kyrie Irving’s anti-Semitism case, suspended for at least five games by the Nets, Durant led the victories against Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Hornets. The only defeat came at home to the Chicago Bulls.

The Nets, who also fired coach Steve Nash last week, have a record of four wins and six losses.

In the West, the best player of the week was Paul George, the absolute protagonist with 33 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game with the Clippers.

His team had three wins, two against the Houston Rockets and one against the San Antonio Spurs, and only lost once, this Sunday to the Utah Jazz.

The Clippers, still awaiting the full recovery of Kawhi Leonard after the Crusader injury suffered in 2021, are ninth in the West, with a 5-5 draw.
