At least four fire engines were spotted this evening at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

And ambulances were seen parked away from the hospital emergency room, ITV reported.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service told the news site: “We were called tonight at 5:42 pm for a small chemical leak at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.

“The area has been evacuated and two injured have been assessed by a team on the spot.

“The teams of Eastleigh, Redbridge and Romsey are currently in place to contain the loss and clean up the affected area. “
