To which she spoke openly about her addiction to her and confessed that she likes “damn good drugs”. “I realize it’s an honor to be here tonight and what a privilege it is to make the music I love,” she said. “Music saved my life. I’ll keep it as painless as possible. But you need to know: I wouldn’t have been here tonight for the same money. In 2007 I nearly died from an overdose, which sucked – Hailie, please don’t listen. Because drugs are damn tasty. I thought we were doing something right, but I had to screw it up. Damn. ” The cameras turned to Hailie, who shook her head. “Did I mention that drugs are delicious?” added his father.
Eminem battled various addictions, which started with prescription medications. In December 2007 he was hospitalized for an overdose of methadone. Subsequently, the rapper remained in rehab. He later admitted that he also struggled with Vicodin, Valium and Ambien addictions. He is said to have started filming ‘8 Mile’ in 2008. “We filmed 16 hours straight and only had some time to sleep,” he previously told Rolling Stone. “One day someone gave me Ambien, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I thought, ‘I always need this.’ “
