Another of Plovdiv’s great artists died. The artist Dimitar Dobrev has left us and is already in the celestial gallery. He was born on 04/05/1948 in the city of Plovdiv. He works in the Bulgarian Photography State Enterprise system and as a freelancer.
His paintings are owned by private and public collections in Bulgaria, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Canada, etc. He is the winner of the “Knight of the Brush 2016” award in the “Knight of Poets” category of the international project “Painting of Many”.
1976–2017 – 12 solo exhibitions in Smolyan, Plovdiv, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Brussels
A year ago, Dobrev donated his collection of over 1,000 irons to the Ethnographic Museum. The donated artifacts have been collected for more than 40 years. Among them are both ancient and modern, replicas and souvenirs. The oldest irons date back to the end of the 18th century.
