Last weekend, the Linz Police Station was notified of two cases of attempted fraud via fake WhatsApp messages. In any case, unknown authors sent a WhatsApp to the injured party under the legend of the son and suggested an urgent emergency. A transfer was requested because the banking app was said not to work. In no case was there any damage.
