zicoxaw Pressing the button combination shows that the PS5s have access to additional debugging options. Your PS5 must be hacked (and debug settings enabled) to perform this trick. This additional menu may contain options normally found on TestKit consoles, but looks very empty on retail consoles.
What is the hidden menu for PS5 debug settings?
Pressing Start + L3 on PS5 (anywhere) while debug settings are enabled will bring up that hidden menu, which sadly is now empty.
Those who have tested have reported that it does nothing. Specifically, pressing the combined button opens a file Patch List: Cex menu, with the option “Playback Settings”. Clicking on this option will take you to the usual settings menu as shown by @Ifaicompa in the video below.

TestKit options on PS5 retail: current status and limitations
It should be noted that most of the debug settings options are disabled on retail consoles. Just because we have the ability to view the GUI (in this case, the menu) for the TestKit data option doesn’t mean the option will work (or have a basic tool) on retail units.
Zecoxao believes that if the PS5 is further hacked, this option will unlock additional features (such as UART logs) which, for example, could potentially lead to hacking of a hypervisor.
How to access the hidden patches menu on your PS5
You will need it PS5 piracy Enable this.
- Activate the PS5 kernel exploit Once debug settings are enabled (they are enabled by default in all exploit variants)
- From anywhere on the PS5 interface, press START + L3 to bring up the menu.
