The Ciné-Club association in collaboration with the cinema Le studio presents the session on November 8 with a film by Otto Preminger that opens a cycle of four evenings dedicated to American cinema: The man with the golden arm.
Frankie Machine (Frank Sinatra) returns to his Chicago neighborhood from a rehab facility. Excited to learn drums there, he wants to be a drummer. Her wife doesn’t want him to stay with her. Bad associations return quickly and he goes back to taking drugs. Frankie has to choose between paying off his dealer debts by becoming a poker dealer, wife who feels he will leave her and her friend Molly who is trying to free him from drugs.
