Abu Dhabi: “The Gulf”
Emerson, the global industrial technology and software company, has signed a partnership agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), to explore ways to leverage Emerson’s manufacturing capabilities and solutions to improve the oil and gas sector in the country. As part of the partnership, a feasibility study will be conducted on how ADNOC can take advantage of Emerson’s capabilities and solutions.
The strategic cooperation agreement was signed during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2022), where it was signed by Vidya Ramnath, President of Emerson in the Middle East and Africa, and by Dr. ADNOC).
Dr. Saleh Al Hashimi, Head of Commercial Affairs and In-Country Value Promotion Department at ADNOC, said, “We are ready to work with our investor and supplier partners to enable them to build new industrial facilities or develop and expand facilities. existing in the country and we invite the local industrial sector and our business partners to take advantage of these opportunities and we look forward to working with them to support the growth and diversification of the UAE economy. “
Vidya Ramnath, President of Emerson Middle East and Africa, said, “We are delighted to enter this partnership with ADNOC to explore new avenues to benefit from our local equipment manufacturing capabilities in the UAE. We look forward to contributing to the development of the energy sector in the country. We affirm our commitment to seek more future opportunities to improve our cooperation with ADNOC ”.
This agreement covers several aspects, including current and potential local valve manufacturing capabilities and a variety of tools, including programmable logic controllers, vibration monitors, machine conditions and accessories in the UAE. Local production capabilities for distributed controllers and emergency stop systems will also be explored.
