ABU DHABI, 6th November, 2020 (WAM) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held two honor ceremonies for its most important strategic partners in the UAE health sector, in appreciation for their efforts and contributions to strengthening the work of the Ministry and advancing the efforts of Emirati diplomacy and the consular sector in serving the country’s citizens abroad.
At the beginning of the ceremony of honor, which was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomed the partners strategies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the health sector, noting that this honor is part of the framework of strengthening the sustainable partnership between the Ministry and its partners, in order to serve the interests of the State and achieve its strategic objectives in various fields.
Belhoul thanked the Abu Dhabi Department of Health Working Group, which stood out for their cooperation and work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to provide distinct health services to the Emirati citizen who is outside the country and to ensure that he has access to health services everywhere.
In his speech at a ceremony honoring the partners at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Dubai, Belhoul thanked the team of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection for cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of International Cooperation in activating the mechanism for the management of emergency medical cases for citizens of the country abroad. She also thanked the Dubai Health Authority team for their collaboration and collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in following about 500 citizens infected with “Covid 19” abroad through the service of a doctor for each citizen.
Belhoul stressed that the partnership that brought us together, from government, federal and local agencies, is the foundation for success, achievement and progress, which has led to the promotion of the UAE’s strategic interests, the achievement of sustainable development and excellence, and placing it at the forefront and at the forefront of countries in the provision of consular services and in the care of citizens abroad.
He said: “We are delighted with the important achievements that we have achieved together in the consular services provided by the UAE to its citizens in order to realize the national vision. It is worth noting that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offers a “medical for every citizen” service, which allows UAE citizens abroad to have a free medical examination remotely by communicating with the doctor via voice and videos without the need to visit health care centers. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7) by a group of doctors and consultants authorized by the Dubai Health Authority, to ensure that the Emirati citizen has access to the services healthcare at any time and from anywhere.
