Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of the Executive Council, Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the Al Badel Federation and President of the DB World Higher Organizing Committee Championship – Dubai 2022, crowned the Argentine national team The men’s padel world championship, which ended on the main court of Dubai Duty Free Tennis.
Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, accompanied by Luigi Carraro, president of the International Badal Federation, crowned Spain and France for taking second and third place in men, and Spain, Argentina and Italy, the top three in the women.
The final was attended by numerous personalities and sports leaders, led by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of the Dubai Executive Council, Khalfan Jumaa Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, and Abdullah bin Demaithan, CEO and General Manager of Dubai Ports International – Emirates Region, members of the organizing committee, representatives of the sponsoring companies and a wide audience.
Argentina won the title after beating Spain 2-1 in the final, in a strong confrontation that recorded an audience that reached more than 5,000 fans and an impressive atmosphere.
The Argentine national team holds the record for winning the gold of the World Championship, the first edition of which was launched in 1992 in Spain, having surpassed the first 11 times in 1992, 1994 and 1996 and 4 times in a row from 2002 to 2008, and returned to crown the title in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2022.
The International Federation has published the final ranking of the top eight teams in the men’s competition, with Argentina in first place, Spain in second, followed by France, Portugal, Brazil, Belgium, Paraguay and Chile.
