The 27th United Nations Climate Conference will open in Egypt
Politicians and experts at the United Nations Climate Conference will have to agree on faster action to limit climate change in order to implement the goal of the climate agreement concluded in Paris in 2015: to limit the rise in global average temperature below below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The conference, which runs until November 18, will be attended by leaders from many countries, including US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Brazil’s newly elected President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva. Latvia will be represented by the President of the State Egils Levits.
