Minnesota pivot Rudy Gobert has entered anti-COVID protocol and will not play the NBA regular season game on Saturday against Houston, his franchise announced, which placed him on the list of unavailable players on his Twitter account.
The Frenchman was placed in solitary confinement, as part of the health protocol provided by the NBA.
This is the third time that Gobert has had to submit. Then a Jazz player, he was the first NBA player to contract the virus in March 2020, which led the body to suspend its championship for several months. And it tested positive again in January of this year.
Transferred to the Timberwolves this summer, the triple best defender in the league transforms, after nine games played this season, to 12.6 points, 13.9 rebounds (first in the dedicated standings), 1.6 against and 0.6 interceptions on average.
Minnesota, who have tried a hard blow, associating him within the Karl-Anthony Towns, remain on three league losses and have a negative balance of four wins against five losses.
