a walk in the footsteps of the brand’s past and the desire to know what happened

A summary 145 was filed before the Commercial Court of Lille to find out how after two years of management by Financière Immobilière Bordelaise, 2,600 Camaieu employees found themselves unemployed.

A month after the liquidation of Camaieu and the definitive closure of its stores, some questions remain unanswered. The 2,600 dismissed employees are still trying to understand such a rapid collapse: two years after entrepreneur Michel Ohayon took over the company, 332 former employees are asking the courts for documents on the management of their former company.

Yesterday guest of JT 19/20 Friday 4 November of France 3 Nord Pas-de-Calais, Fiodor Rilov, lawyer of the CGT Camaieu wants to understand “a set of decisions that have taken place and are not justified”

Laurent Navez: A hearing is scheduled for November 24 in the commercial court of Lille. What is the risk?
Fyodor Rilov : “The employees have experienced a real social disaster that they did not expect, as less than two years ago they were promised that the Camaieu company would be overturned and that its business would be perpetuated. But today they are fired and they are all fired. More than 2000 breaches of the employment contract. It is a disaster: not only for them, but also for the country. Among these former employees, 332 of them told me they were instructed to bring an action before the Commercial Court of Lille to obtain all the documents, all the pieces that will make it possible to shed light on what happened.

Laurent Navez: What are you trying to highlight? Mistakes ? Fraud?
Fyodor Rilov : “This action in summary 145 is quite common. It is an action that we take every time we intend to start a process. To then eventually question the responsibility of this or that company or that and that person. (…) To prepare this process, the judges are called upon to condemn the people who have the useful information to provide, in order to evaluate the incident and identify any faults and bring them to the attention of the competent courts “.

Laurent Navez: I use the words of a former employee who said ‘what did he do to quit us so quickly’ … pointing to Michel Ohayon. Do you suspect some of his decisions but can we not speak of a crime?
Fyodor Rilov : Unfortunately, in France, if there is a financial crime, employees are not recognized as legitimate complainants. It is not the ground we are on today. On the other hand, of course, we seek explanations on a certain number of operations that seem particularly unusual to us. There are a lot of decisions that have taken place that are not justified. ”
