Mayor Arya violated the oath: complaint to the Electoral Commission – Youth Congress

Thiruvananthapuram ∙ The Youth Congress lodged a complaint with the National Electoral Commission against Mayor Arya Rajendran. The complaint says the oath was violated. The complaint was filed by JS Akhil, a member of the National Committee.

The Youth Congress action comes after Mayor Arya’s letter to CPM District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan calling for a list of party members in 295 temporary posts in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. After the letter came out, there was harsh criticism against the mayor and the CPM.

The protests of the Youth Congress and the BJP to society have caused a confrontation. State president of the Youth Congress Shafi Parambil demanded that the mayor, who had given the party appointments in the company, resign. The mayor has become the youngest corrupt woman. Shafi said all the appointments made so far in the company should be investigated and that the Youth Congress will go ahead with the protest.
