The coverage examined that around 90 heads of state are present in Sharm El-Sheikh, but who are the European leaders participating in COP27, the Spanish newspaper “20 Minotos” said that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will go to Egypt to attend. At the climate summit, after launching an initiative on regional resilience with Nigeria, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will certainly have a leading role in that summit.
The Spanish newspaper pointed out that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was reading the national mood when he announced that he would miss the UN climate conference to focus on domestic issues last week, then returned to announce that he would go to Sharm el-Sheikh to attend the summit.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also confirmed that she will travel to Sharm el-Sheikh to attend the climate summit.
Among European leaders, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed his presence at the climate conference in Egypt, where Macron plays an important role in the summit of world leaders from 7 to 8 November.
And the Italian agency ANSA said that German Chancellor Olaf Schultz will also travel to Sharm el-Sheikh to attend the climate summit.
