Thyroid disorder is one of the most common diseases among women. These signs confirm that there is a deficiency in the thyroid gland:
Weight changes:
An underactive thyroid gland slows down all body functions. Including metabolism, so many women gain weight due to thyroid disorders.
Hyperthyroidism can also lead to unexplained weight loss. This is why some women don’t want treatment for hyperthyroidism. Because they think losing weight is a good thing, but they need treatment. Excessive hormone production is stressful for the body. Especially the heart.
Digestion problems:
Digestion of food is slower with hypothyroidism. You may notice that you don’t go to the bathroom often or that you are just constipated. With hyperthyroidism, you may go to the bathroom a lot and find that your stool is not very hard.
Depression and moods:
Hypothyroidism can affect the way the brain works. It greatly affects your mood. Depression is one of the health problems many women suffer from, and it can be difficult to realize that the thyroid is to blame. Because depression itself can lead to some symptoms of hypothyroidism.
