European and Turkish police in raids in 28 countries arrested 382 people suspected of smuggling in the Balkans and South Eastern Europe, announced on Friday European Union Europol law enforcement agency.

The arrests took place last month. Most of the detainees are accused of smuggling of migrants, firearms and drugs, Europol revealed.
The operation was coordinated by Europol and Spain and involved nearly 16,000 police officers from all over Europe and Turkey.
Other European countries helped with the information.
In the operation, police officers confiscated 106 firearms, as well as drugs, including marijuana and cocaine, Europol revealed.
