Maestro “AR Rahman” performed live on the stage of the Al Ittihad Arena, on the island of Yas in Abu Dhabi. This is the first time that “Rahman” performs a live concert in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of a large number of enthusiastic music fans who interacted with the musical performances in a tangible and extraordinary way, on the occasion of the “Diwali” festival. The concert recorded a great success, becoming one of the biggest events organized on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, where “Rahman” presented some of his iconic songs with which the audience interacted and sang with him from all over the world, which he is headed to Abu Dhabi to attend the most incredible concert of this year.
Rahman began the concert by performing his most famous patriotic song “Jai Ho” from the Oscar-winning film (Slumdog Millionaire), and through this song, he presented his band of singers on stage, which included prominent singers, as well as some of the illustrious names in the world of Bollywood, such as Param Sundari and Maahi Ve.
The concert was a visual treat, and performed songs in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and even Arabic. The international icon with unparalleled knowledge of music also performed compositions of the classical Indian style (ragas) and the Union The arena was lit to become more like a festive Diwali when the lights went out and the audience greeted the music, using the lighting of their smartphones, which made the atmosphere more like a dream world.
The ceremony also saw the presentation of some wonderful emotion-filled songs, such as (Agar Tum Saath Ho) from the movie (Tamasha), and (Kun Faya Kun) from the movie (Rockstar), as well as her latest song, which got a great success (Ponni Nadh) from the film (Ponniyin Selvan – I). One of the most memorable moments during the ceremony was when “Rahman” together with his son “AR Amin” performed the songs (Miss Hairan) of the film (Heropanti) with Nisa, which ignited the enthusiasm of the audience, and before the end of the concert, Rahman lit up the stage with songs (Humma Humma, Chaiyya Chaiyya and Maa Tujhe Salaam).
