St. Peter-Ording digitizes guest cards

St. Peter-Ording will introduce a digital guest card early next year. Tourism director Katharina Schirmbeck (photo) announces that the map is linked to a so-called progressive web app that allows access to a large amount of information.

The pilot phase with around 100 holiday homes and apartments started at the end of October. The starting signal for the introduction of the digital counterpart of the guest card in paper format is scheduled for 11 January. “This is a big step for St. Peter-Ording, which is associated with many benefits for both guests and owners. In addition, the digital guest card supports our efforts for greater sustainability,” says Schirmbeck. Instead of always having to make sure to carry the often very crumpled paper card with them, vacationers may in the future pull out their smartphone to show the guest card, according to the tourism director. You will receive this by email from your landlord after booking.

The digital guest card is linked to an app that allows access to additional information. In this way, guests can get to know the holiday resort and what it has to offer even before traveling to the holiday resort on the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein. During your stay in St. Peter-Ording you will receive information about events which you can also book directly via the app. In addition, guests have the opportunity to inquire on site about opening times or bus timetables. By indicating free places on tours, courses and events, they can also take part in them at short notice, which should make better use of the skills present.
