Hatice was born from the union of Sovereign Selim I and his beloved Aisha Havsa Sultan, whom fans of the “Magnificent Century” best know as Valide. If the creators of the series freely dealt with the story of Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska, the protagonist of their action-packed project, they completely rewrote Hatice’s fate.

In the first and second seasons, parallel to the love line of Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska and Suleiman, the plot of the ruler’s sister with her main assistant and appointed brother also developed. Already in the first episodes, viewers are shown how sadly Ibrahim looks at the princess of the holy dynasty of Osman. Slave of Parga, although close to the throne and the ruler, he could not count on the hand and heart of his brilliant mistress. However, Hatice, according to the plot of the “Magnificent Century”, had mutual feelings for Pargaly.

One of the alleged reasons why Suleiman agreed to approve such an alliance is actually very interesting. According to her, the padishah was so happy with her Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska that he wanted to have similar feelings for her younger sister. Thus Hatice Hatice became the wife of Ibrahim and, among other things, received the title of Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. The public rejoiced at this epilogue of this story. However, very soon they were disappointed with Hatice. TO for all her failures, including a failed marriage, she blamed Alexandra Anastasia Lisowska. And when Ibrahim fell into Suleiman’s eyes because of his own mistakes, the Sultan’s sister again attacked Haseki on all dogs.

If we turn to royal history, we can find a hint of the marriage of Pargala and Hatice. Scholar Ismail Hakky Uzuncharshilu wrote about this union. True, later the same author of the dubious theory refuted it. But it was already too late.

According to other more authoritative sources, the first time Hatice Sultan married at the age of 13 was a prominent statesman Iskander Pasha. However, this union lasted only six years, as the lover’s husband died of a heart attack in his bed. By the way, in the “Magnificent Century” this historical fact was shown in the first episodes.

Widowed, Hatice returned to Manisa to her mother Aisha Hafsei, brother Suleiman, who was still a shehzade at the time. After the death of Sultan Selim, the lady followed her Valide and the new ruler to the capital of the empire. Soon the family made sure Hatice remarried.

The second chosen one of the representative of the Ottoman dynasty was a native of Montenegro, Alexander of the Chernoevich family. In Turkey he received the name Iskander. From him Hatice gave birth to five children: the sons Suleiman, Ali, Mehmed and Osman, as well as his daughter Nefise. However, in 1530, the sultan returned as a widow. After the death of her second husband, she Hatice returned to Istanbul and remained there until the end of her life, never remarrying again.
