Young actresses could die.
The military drama The Dawns Here Are Quiet was released 50 years ago. The film about the brave anti-aircraft gunners did not leave anyone indifferent and turned the performers of the roles into famous actresses. For most of them, with the exception of Olga Ostroumova, the tape became a film debut.
For many more years, the girls with a shudder remembered the grueling shootings in Karelia, which lasted almost six months. They suffered from large mosquitoes, training in a similar way to those facing real fighters. The actresses had to carry very heavy bags. And some of them almost repeated the tragic fate of their heroines.
Galya Chetvertak died in the photo from Nazi blows in the back. For greater persuasiveness, pyrotechnicians worked on Ekaterina Markova’s tunic, equipping her with mini-bombs. But they did not calculate the charge and an explosion was heard on the site. The actress was thrown by her, the skin on her back burned by the effects of the cotton.
And Elena Drapeko almost stayed in the swamp, like her heroine Lisa Brichkina. Director Stanislav Rostotsky ensured that there were no bubbles on the surface of the water. Therefore, Drapeko suffered an incredible torment, sitting on the bottom of the tank. And when she was asked out, she couldn’t raise her head. Drapeko’s hand was dragged with difficulty by the film crew, she writes “TVNZ“.
