Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The mining company, PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk, has reported that it will pay an interim dividend to shareholders in the near future. Finance and risk management director Farida Thamrin said the company has sufficient funds this year.
Farida said that historically the company has never paid interim dividends, because dividends are the authority of the shareholders.
“Historically we have never given interim dividends. Dividends that we are in the domain of the shareholders. We will prepare the cash,” he said Thursday in a discussion via YouTube (3/11/2022).
Farida admitted that she was ready if the company received orders from shareholders. “The third quarter condition of up to 14 trillion rupees is higher than the full year 2021. Don’t worry, we have enough cash, even if it is ordered by the shareholders, we will support it,” she said.
Farida added that, with the current condition of coal demand and positive corporate performance, investors can enjoy the rewards of their investment. Furthermore, he expects liquidity to continue to increase until the end of the year.
“Cash dividends are safe. Especially with coal today. We expect the money to rise until the end of the year. But back to the shareholders, we will prepare the money,” he concluded.
