Security footage captured the horrifying moment of 15-year-old Turkish teenager Melike Gun Kanavuzlar, who fell from a building while trying to retrieve her phone.
The damage from the fall was enormous and his life could not be saved, reports the Turkish newspaper Republic.
You fall from the fourth floor
The incident took place on 12 October in the city of Ortaca, in the province of Mugla, in western Turkey.
The 15-year-old allegedly tried to pick up the phone on the edge of a building, but lost his balance. This led to a fall from the fourth floor onto the sidewalk.
Security cameras filmed the fall and a passer-by is seen suddenly seeing Kanavuzlar’s body fall to the ground right in front of him.

Fought for 18 days
She was taken to hospital after the fall and was in critical condition.
Kanavuzlar clung to life in the intensive care unit for 18 days before succumbing to her injuries.
She was buried on October 30th.
