The collapse of the side slope of the National 1 South Xizhi interchange was urgently repaired and the five blocks of the south entrance and the five blocks of the Xizhi main line (7k-10k) were urgently closed. At 7:00 this morning (3), students and employees went commuting one after another. Traffic has spilled onto Xizhi Flat Road and some sections have experienced traffic jams.
At 7:00 this morning, commuter cars crowded the flat road of Xizhi. Through the real-time video monitor screen, it can be seen that there were many traffic jams on the roads including Xintaiwu Road and Datong Road.

The New Taipei City Transportation Bureau pointed out that the Gao Gong Bureau has made every effort to carry out the urgent repair project on the side slope of National Junction 1 South Xizhi.
Gao Gong’s office said that due to the continued closure it will inevitably affect traffic and passersby are recommended to detour ahead of time. Vehicles in the Keelung and Badong areas want to go on National Highway No. 3, they can enter from the Fund Interchange or go directly to the 62 Expressway platform to connect to the Madong Driving in system; regional vehicles can use local roads (Tai5A, etc.) to go to Xizhi, Xintaiwu Interchange and then enter the national highway; National Highway No. 1 south to Xizhi, vehicles to Nangang direction, please exit early at Wudu interchange to use the local road (Taiwan 5A).
