GEORGETOWN, Guyana – A Guyanese-born New York police officer on vacation in his homeland drowned in the swift waters of a jungle and mountainous region near the Brazilian border, authorities said Wednesday.
Police said Gladstone Hayne, 43, and her children’s mother were swimming at Orinduik Falls in the forested area of Potaro when he was taken away on Sunday.
