The CGT of railway workers has long denounced the lack of trains in relations with Dijon or of trains not in correspondence. The train service to Dijon will not improve with the removal of a train.
“We keep saying that we need more trains in the direction of Dijon. And what does the SNCF do? It deletes some of them, ”says Michel Blanchon, secretary of the CGT des Cheminots in Chalindrey.
The relationship with Dijon remains very complicated and yet a little common sense, and certainly willpower, is enough to improve the relationship between the Alta Marne and the Côte d’Or. As proof, the union relies on a TER from Troyes to Dijon. “The Troyes-Dijon 839580 train cannot connect to Dijon Ville station. This forces users to wait several hours for connections with Lyon or Paris, due to poor organization or lack of consultation with TER Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
This train stops for seven minutes at Chalindrey station (6: 30/6: 37) and is stuck behind an omnibus train from Is-sur-Tille to Dijon which arrives at 7:36 am. As a result, he arrives at Dijon station at 7:41 am, ”explains Delphine Huens, of CGT des Cheminots. However, 7:41 am is the departure time for the connection with the south of France. “It would be enough to reduce the stop in Chalindrey by a few minutes to be in correspondence,” she points out. This situation has been repeatedly denounced by the railway union. The SNCF “has seen the possibility of implementing this change but it will not,” says Michel Blanchon.
Rail service and correspondence
This same train leaves for Chalindrey at 7:51 am to arrive at Chalindrey at 9:02. He was on his way to take a correspondence in the direction of Paris. This is no longer the case, the arrival time no longer matches. “The traveler who comes from Dijon can no longer go to Paris”, blinks Michel Blanchon. But the SNCF will do much worse. “At the change of service, this train will be canceled,” the CGT says. In any case, the train will return to Chalindrey at another time slot.
“We strongly oppose the cancellation of the 839591 train from Dijon to Culmont-Chalindrey. We are not already not full of services therefore this decision does not pass at all and does not show a willingness on the part of the Region to fix things. The management of the SNCF supports the decisions of the Region and tells us that if it makes a request in this direction this train will be maintained ”, says Delphine Huens. “It has become very complicated to take the train to the south of the Haute-Marne,” she notes. And the annual change of service in December won’t help matters.

Train + bike great
Combining train and bike is a step in the right direction. In any case, it is in step with the times as we favor “soft mobility”. The Region offers financial aid for the purchase of an electric bicycle. But there is often a gap between mission statements and reality. Those who have already tried to take the train with their bike know something about it. So, there really is a dedicated space to store your bike in a train, but this space is very limited as there can only be three bikes there.…
