Jakarta –
Member of the VII DPR RI PKS Commission faction, Mulyanto uploaded the results of the BBM octane test Pertalite and Revvo 89. Test results show that VIVO’s Revvo 89 octane is higher than Pertalite.
The results of the trial were distributed by Mulyanto on his personal Twitter account @ pakmul63. From the photo he uploaded, Revvo 89 has an octane rating of 90.7. While Pertalite has an octane number of 90.4.
“Interestingly enough, this RON Revvo 89, whose test results are slightly better than Pertalite,” wrote Mulyanto, quoted on Wednesday (11/2/2022).
Although Revvo 89 should have an octane rating below Pertalite. The trial was issued by Sucofindo and Lemigas.
Sucofindo is a BUMN that provides survey services, including analytical labs, engineering, audits, assessments, consulting, oil and gas, mining and others. Meanwhile, Lemigas is the Great Hall under the General Directorate of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, which is in charge of conducting oil and gas testing.
Even though it has an octane rating lower than Revvo 89, there is no indication that Pertalite is wasteful or has slow acceleration. As is well known, rumors have recently circulated that Pertalite became extravagant after the price went up.
“In general, in this test, no indication of the cause of Pertalite was expensive or acceleration was slow,” Mulyanto said.
Below are Mulyanto’s notes relating to the results of the Pertalite and Revvo 89 octane tests:
1. The Pb content is still present in both Pertalite and Revvo.
2. Revvo 89 RON size, quite good, even slightly above 90.
3. Other parameters tested generally fall within the norm.
4. No indication of deviation was found from the data tested.
5. In general, in this test, there is no indication of the cause of Pertalite wasting or slow acceleration.
6. For further testing, a performance test is required. However, for our purposes, this test will suffice.
Contacted separately, Pertamina’s company secretary Patra Niaga Irto Ginting responded by asking what kind of fuel wasn’t actually octane.
“Hello, which one is wrong?” He said.
