Syrian singer Linda Bitar appeared at the annual concert that her fans expect at the Damascus Opera House, accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah.
Bitar was able through her academic voice and her ability to color it by shifting the levels of the vocal layers and diversified the arrangement of the program’s songs from different lyrical patterns and various schools between contemporary, heritage, tarab, emotional, popular and others composed by the powerful Elias Karam and Samir Kwifati, in addition to the creativity of contemporary Syrian poets and composers who presented Ha promising productions such as Rami Koussa.
The concert stood out at all levels, both for the lyric program and for the performance of Bitar with the complementary visual integrations that gave wide horizons to the audience through the screens placed on the stage, and on it visual materials appeared at the beginning in memory of late artists and actors such as Khaled Taja and Salim Kallas. Then the songs were accompanied and designed especially for the ceremony, which gave the ceremony the exceptional and uniqueness of the festivities presented earlier by Bitar.
And with the muheed “Roses in your cheeks is shame” by poet Ali Al-Darwish, Bitar began his concert and continued with the song by Egyptian singer Angham, “And I Qadar Salvation Far From Me”, which the accordion player gave the poet’s medal a distinctive taste and a unique character.
The concert included the release of the bouquet of Al-Bitar’s own songs, and performed for the first time on stage the song “Amal Bahlam” composed of words and melodies and distributed by Maestro Samir Kwifati before it was recorded and published on social media, in addition to the song “Molia” that he published two months ago from the words of Ramy Kousa, and composed by Elias. “Yama Ya Yama” and “Akhfi Al-Hawa” which was accompanied by a dance segment, and her album “The Speech Has Become Ghali” from the words of Al-Harith and Maan Khalifa, and composed and distributed by Maan Khalifa , which he released as part of his youthful album “Matriz”, which combines oriental music and jazz music, was featured on an evening today.
Bitar did not fail to sing songs that remained etched in the conscience of his art lovers, so he praised the songs “Tali Ihkelo” and “Don’t neglect me, don’t forget me”, as well as a connection with heritage, and concluded with the song “Ybardani”.
In a statement to the media, Bitar expressed his happiness for having held this annual concert hosted by Dar Al-Assad for culture and the arts during this period every year, which comes with a great responsibility, especially after the great love he receives from the his audience, who are present with intensity and interact with his performance with warm applause.
