Apple may bring the glowing logo back to future MacBooks, as a recently published patent demonstrates.
In May of this year, Apple filed a patent application describing the technology for manufacturing laptops with a partially mirrored logo backlight. Three Apple engineers who joined the company in 2018 are listed as developers of the patent.
Apple released laptops with a bright apple from 1999 to 2015. Starting with the 12-inch MacBook, the company began using a metallic finish to create the logo. [MacRumors]
