Those with a maximum (joint) income of 45,014 euros can henceforth receive a zero-interest loan Energy Saving Loan apply to the National Heat Fund. The 0 percent interest rate applies for the entire term of the approved loans.
The interest-free loan is expressly intended to encourage people to make their homes more sustainable and thus to save energy. The National Heat Fund was established in 2013 and works on behalf of the government.
“Eligible households pay no interest for the entire term of the loan, regardless of the capital market trend,” the fund reports.
The scheme must be in place for at least two years. “After that, it will be assessed whether the measure is needed longer”.
