T1 and DRX will face off in the 2022 World Championships final to be held at the Chase Center in San Francisco, USA, on November 6 (Korean time).
Having passed the group stage first, T1 defeated Royal Never Give Up (RNG) 3-0 in the quarter-finals. Subsequently, they progressed to the final by defeating Jingdong Gaming 3-1 in the quarter-finals. Against this, DRX started with the play-in stage, made it through the group stage and then defeated Edward Gaming (EDG) in a reverse sweep in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, they defeated Gen. G esports 3-1.
In this final, T1 will compete to win the World Cup 4 times and DRX is aiming for the first championship in its foundation.
