In a raid against child pornography, the Freiburg police searched 30 buildings and objects. The information on the suspects came from abroad.
In and around Freiburg, the police took action against large-scale child pornography. As is only now known, dozens of officers searched a total of 30 premises in Freiburg and in the districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Emmendingen, Waldshut and Lörrach several days ago. More than 300 pieces of evidence have been secured, mainly electronic data carriers. In addition, according to the police, three sex dolls with “childlike appearance” were found and confiscated from one of the suspects. Possession of such special dolls is punishable by law.
Information from foreign security authorities
According to the Freiburg Criminal Police, the more than 50 investigations began with suggestions from the US security authorities. “As announced in previous research, the criminal police are still under pressure to investigate,” said Arno Englen, chief of the Freiburg criminal police. Also in the future, according to Englen, measures will be taken “continuously and tirelessly” against the possession and distribution of child pornography material.
