That giant ship is Kapal ship CMA CGM Alexander Von Humboldt who will facilitate the Columbus JAX Service, a shipping service linking Indonesia and the United States.
Transport Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that with the presence of large ships and routes to the United States, according to him, the logistical costs of goods exported to America will be cheaper.

CEO CMA CGM Asia Pacific, Laurent Olmeta said this ship has a capacity of 16,000 TEUS. Her size is 60% larger than the container ships operating in Indonesia. The ship Alexander Von Humboldt has a total length of 396 meters and a power of 176546 gross tonnage (GT).
“This ship has a capacity of 16,000 TEUS. It will connect Jakarta in Indonesia to the ports on the west coast of the United States. This ship is 60% larger than the normal ship operating in Indonesia. This is a great asset,” Laurent said in same position. .
The Alexander Von Humboldt ship and various other JAX services provide delivery services for local products and manufactured goods such as paper, rubber, clothing, footwear and electronic products from Indonesia to America every week.
