The agreement concerns the implementation of the Swiss contribution of 10 million francs to Cyprus from the framework credit for migration. This is part of the second billion of so-called Swiss cohesion. In June, Switzerland and the EU signed the basic agreement on the Swiss contribution to cohesion.
The Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP) announced on Twitter that the money was intended for the infrastructure of the asylum system and for repatriation and reintegration projects.
