With the installation of a vaccination post yesterday (Sunday) in the prelude to the presentation of the puppet show “Varieté de Ilusiones” at the Spanish Theater, the Undersecretary of Municipal Health, through the Community Health Directorate and the Vaccination of the Municipal Hospital Dr Pedro T. Orellana, has initiated a series of close actions aimed at strengthening the National Vaccination Campaign against measles, rubella, mumps and polio in boys and girls between 1 (one) and 4 (four) years that is taking place in the district, and also to improve coverage of all scheduled vaccines.
The proposal, which aims to provide the population with access to vaccines, will be repeated next Friday (4) in Plaza San Martín from 16:00 to 21:00, with an activity called “The afternoon of the vaccines”, And also on Saturday (5) at the Trenque Lauquen Rural Expo, where a large influx of families is expected: there will also be a vaccination station there.
Regarding the initiative, Dr. María Teste, head of the vaccination area of the municipal hospital Dr. Pedro T. Orellana, explained that she tries to “centralize the activity in a very busy place with a lot of traffic so that people can watch it and motivate each other. “
However, he reiterated that “vaccination is still available in all district and provincial vaccination centers, as the campaign is nationwide, which is why it is important for those who are not yet vaccinated to do so, because the goal is achieve coverage 95 percent or more of the target population by applying additional doses to the national triple viral vaccine (SRP) and inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) program across the country ”.
