On Instagram there are as many users as there are different people and the control over the contents becomes more and more difficult. Faced with this, the Meta application has implemented a new feature for the peace of mind of its community.
Among the millions of users, a large percentage are minors. For this reason the application has added a new tool called “Supervision” which allows parents or guardians of the little ones to monitor their activity on the platform. Its activation is optional and requires both parties to undertake to implement it.
How to apply supervision?
From the Settings tab, one of the users will have to send a “Monitoring” invitation to the other, which will have to be accepted by the other person. If the consent is not confirmed, the request expires 48 hours after its creation. It is important to remember that the account to be controlled can only be managed by the father, mother or legal guardian.
What are the functions that the ‘Monitoring’ tool allows?
Set a time limit to limit the use of the application.
See the minors’ followers and followers.
See how much time you spend on the platform and what kind of content you see.
Schedule breaks to limit usage time on the days and times you choose.
Review blocked accounts.
