This gesture was not without reason.
In one of the final parts of the Harry Potter franchise – in the Deathly Hallows. Part 1 – Hermione Granger wears a pink scarf that dangles softly around her neck. When Ron leaves the campground where her friends are staying, Hermione hangs her scarf from a tree.
But this was done for a reason: the heroine made it clear to Ron that she and Harry were gone and that you shouldn’t look for them here.
Also, when the Jaegers capture their friends, a curious detail can be noticed: their leader, Strupyar, is wearing Hermione’s scarf. This is a clue that the girl was found by the smell of perfume emanating from her scarf.
