A man broke into the home of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the third largest in power in the United States, and attacked her husband with a blunt weapon.
Pelosi was away from home on a campaign to support the countryside.
Police believe the attacker committed a crime against President Pelosi from the start.

At around 2:30 am local time on the 28th, a man broke the glass on the back door and broke in, then threw a blunt weapon at her husband, Paul Pelosi, who was at home.
The two men were discovered by police during a regular patrol at Pelosi’s home.

Paul Pelosi, an 82-year-old financial businessman, was shot in the head and body with a blunt weapon and was transported to the hospital for surgery.
Police released the identity of 42-year-old David DePaper.
Upon entering the house, he shouted, “Where is Nancy?” and said, “I tried to tie up my husband until Nancy got home.”
However, he said investigations are ongoing into the specific reason for the visit to the home.
Rather, President Biden said the guilty’s statements showed political motives.
