Jakarta –
Former governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan talk about the Youth Pledge in the movement event #DemiIndonesia. Anies sent a message to young people and women to participate in the international arena.
“Put simply, when we talk about Indonesia, I think there are two levels of conversation. For us in this room. Especially for the new generation. Firstly, there is an Indonesian public level on a macro scale, secondly. there is a private micro-level scale of scale, we think of each individual, ”Anis said during the meeting at Ciputra Artpreneur Hotel, South Jakarta, on Saturday (10/29/2022).
Anies explained that in the future the macro scale will be a challenge for young people and women. Anies reviewed the Youth Pledge notice. Being Indonesia, Anies said, in the sense of a nation.
“We declare a nation, a homeland, we also declare the Indonesian language, this is the basis of ’28, one. The second in ’45, we became a country. Before there was no state, we were just saying a nation. Indonesia is the only nation in the world that managed to agree on a common language before the existence of a state, “he said.
Anies appealed not to take lightly the agreement of a language in 1928, then in 1945 it became an Indonesian state, then in 1967 there was Juanda’s declaration that it was recognized only that we have become a territory, a nation, a country, then in 1982 a territory, a territory.
“We have to have equal prices. Economic integration. How the price of water in Jakarta is roughly the same as water in the islands of Indonesia, both in Papua and in other small islands. How can it be the same. Same thing. impossible but only one economy we’re still doing it, “Anies said.
“In the future, our challenge is to make this economy unique, that is, at the national level. This means that inequality can be solved, equality of opportunity exists, true integration appears in terms of welfare. It is difficult to maintain unity in inequality. “How can we maintain unity in inequality. This is a unit where economic unity is needed, “she added.
According to Anies, the advantage of young people and women, especially students, is that they have more tomorrow than the elderly. Then open the view to participate internationally.
“For friends, don’t imagine Indonesia’s workspace, the scope of his work has to be global. So put a global map in the room, look at the battle arena area that goes beyond the territorial boundaries of the Indonesia with that So on an individual level, especially for us at the center of educational activities, the economy has extraordinary access to resources, so it must be used for future development, “he added.
