In the Dortmund “rush hour”, on the night from Saturday to Sunday, a young woman (19) collided with a bouncer. She circulates a video of the discussion online in the entrance area of the nightclub. A 19-second excerpt documents the brutality of the scenes.
Dortmund police also have the records. When asked by DER WESTEN, a spokesperson confirmed that the young woman had filed a complaint. The nightclub is in the meantime covered.
Dortmund: the bouncer beats a woman in front of a nightclub
The video shows how both fighters insult each other from a safe distance. After mutual provocation, the 19-year-old walks up to the bouncer and slaps him in the face. He won’t let him stay on. And he responds with all the might. The physically far superior bouncer shot hits the young woman in the face.
The woman is thrown to the ground by the immense force of the blow. She comes across a bar stool on which another bouncer is silently watching the scene. She stunned, she sits on the floor. The sequence ends. There is online outrage over the incident.
Dortmund: “How weak must a person be?”
Most people felt that the bouncer’s response was unprofessional and totally inappropriate. “How weak does a person have to be to bring down a woman who poses no threat to you?” writes Youtuber Uwe Bönstrup and asks for consequences for the “rush hour” in Dortmund and its “disgusting bouncer”. But everyone agrees that the 19-year-old also misbehaved completely in the sequence.
Bouncer disappears from the crime scene in Dortmund
According to Dortmund police, the 19-year-old sustained minor injuries. He refused first aid from the emergency services. However, she was strongly advised to undergo a medical examination to document her injuries in case of a possible legal dispute.
Officials did not find the bouncer on site over the weekend. Dortmund police have launched an investigation to identify him. It is entirely possible that he will file a complaint even after the first violence apparently came from the visitor to the nightclub.
The Dortmund nightclub says so
When asked by DER WESTEN, the managers of “Rush Hour” declined to comment on the incident. An involved lawyer referred to the police investigation, which “is fully and unreservedly supported”.
