In response to what was said by the president of the board of directors of sports facilities, Riad Al-Sheikha, that the Lebanese Football Association does not pay him the financial penalties it inflicts on its clubs for violating its fans.
The Federation said in a statement: “Sheikha’s words are a slander and a serious accusation against a large sports institution that has always been known for its transparency and endless support for football with its clubs, fans and stadiums. and our belief in our responsibility to the entire football family.
The federation highlighted all costs of damage inflicted on clubs for their cracking work at Sports City Stadium and the dates of their payment at that time. Taking note of not having repaired such damage despite the sums paid to him by the Lebanese Federation, in addition to the sums paid directly to him by the clubs.
The Federation’s statement continues: “We would like to take this opportunity to remind Sheikha that she made us pay for the exercises and matches of our first national team at the Sports City Stadium, which should be open for free and at any time in front of the national team, like all other stages of Lebanon and what is universally recognized “.
