Siti Elina, the woman who attempted to break into the Presidential Palace has been named suspect terrorism crime. Now, Siti’s husband and teacher Elina (murabbi), namely Bahrul Ulum (BU) and Jamaluddin, have also been named suspects.
The head of the 88 detachment of the Banops Counter-Terrorism Police, Kombes Aswin Siregar, said the three were charged with Article 7 of the government regulation replacing Law No. 1 of 2002 on the eradication of criminal acts of terrorism.
“Yes, it uses the terrorism law. The prerequisite is Article 7, it is a consensus,” Kombes Aswin Siregar said when he was contacted on Friday (10/28/2022).
Aswin says Special Detachment 88 Police will continue to investigate the case. There are a number of things that are being investigated by Densus 88 Polri.
“We will definitely see the investigation progress or the investigation progress, because I think there may still be developments,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that a woman carrying a gun was suspected of raiding the State Building in central Jakarta. The woman was arrested by the police.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (25/10) at 07:00 WIB at the entrance of the State Palace, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara. There is no information on the woman’s identity.
Police said the woman initially walked away from Harmony in the direction of Medan Merdeka Utara. When she arrived at the entrance to the building, the woman allegedly pointed a gun at Paspampres’s member.
