Pokemon Anime features Ash’s biggest battle ever

If you’ve ever seen the anime of Pokémonyou will remember its protagonist Ash Ketchum (Satoshi) and his goal of becoming a pokemon master, a dream that has remained valid in all his adventures since 1997. Now, 25 years later, he may be well on his way.

On 21 October, «Final 1: Torrent«, Chapter 129 of the twenty-fifth season Pokémon Ultimate Journeyswhich kicked off one of the most anticipated battles for anime fans: the final of the Eight Masters Tournament between Ash and Lionel.

Although the young man from Paleta Town is considered “the least experienced participant” (even with all his championships), Ash managed to make his way into the tournament, defeating the champions of Hoenn and Sinnoh, Steven Stone y Cinzia.

On the other hand, the undefeated champion of Galar only had three Pokémon in the tournament, proving his nickname of “supreme monarch«.

A battle full of surprises

To the delight of fans, the final will last 4 episodes and push both coaches to the limit, as Lionel has added the rule that they can use all special mechanics in combat. So we will see the megaevolution (Sixth generation), the Z-Move (Seventh) and the Dinamax (Eighth).

While we’ve already seen Ash’s Pokémon in the season, this will be the first time Leonel’s six will fight during the tournament. An official poster confirmed that Pokémon will be featured in these four chapters.

  • Ash: Pikachu (Z-Move), Gengar (Gigamax), Sirfetch’d, Lucario (Mega), Dragonite and Dracovish.
  • Lionel: Cinderance, Inteleon, Mr. Rime, Dragapult, Rillaboom and Charizard.

In recent days the dates and two of the names of the following chapters have been confirmed which will concern the final:

  • Chapter 130 – Final 2: launch | October 28
  • Chapter 131 – Final 3: The strongest| November 4th
  • Chapter 132 – Final 4: (no names confirmed yet) | 11 November

Interestingly, the premiere of Chapter 133 coincides with the same release date as Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, the next games in the series due out for Nintendo Switch on November 18th. Considering that the episode’s name has not been revealed, they may hold us a bigger surprise.
