Early voting begins this weekend

The November general elections are here and early voting begins on Saturday 29 October and runs every day until Sunday 6 November.

Election day is Tuesday 8 November.

Anyone with the right to vote can vote early, although the place where you vote in advance may be different from the one assigned to you on election day, the last day of voting.

“Early voting begins this weekend! With nine days of early voting, it’s easy to get voting into your busy schedule. Find your assigned polling station,” writes the New York Electoral Commission in a social media message.

If you have applied to vote by mail, but want to vote in person, you can go to the place where you vote in advance or the polling station on election day and fill out a sworn ballot.

Wednesday 2 November 2022 – from 10:00 to 20:00

Thursday 3 November 2022: from 10:00 to 18:00

Friday 4 November 2022: from 7:00 to 15:00

Saturday 5 November 2022: from 9am to 5pm

Sunday 6 November 2022 – from 9am to 5pm
